Privacy policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

jabaly is a Chrome extension for YouTube creators. This policy explains what data it uses and what it does not. The short version: jabaly keeps your data in your browser and has no servers. The only thing it sends out is your Pro license key, to check that it is valid.

What jabaly stores

The extension saves the following in your browser using Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local):

• Your categories and subcategories, and the channels and videos you save in them.
• Cached public data used to display the extension, such as subscriber counts, view counts and publishing times.
• Your settings and, if you have Pro, your license key.

This data stays on your computer. We do not receive it, and we cannot see it. If you remove the extension, Chrome deletes it. The Pro backup feature creates a file that you save yourself.

What jabaly reads

jabaly runs on youtube.com pages to show subscriber counts, outlier labels and the + Category button. To do this it reads the page you are viewing and requests public YouTube data (for example, channel and video pages) from your own browser. This information is used only to display the extension and is not sent to us or to any third party.

Permissions

• storage: to save your categories, settings and cached data in your browser.
• https://www.youtube.com/*: to add its features to YouTube and read the public data it needs.
• https://api.polar.sh/*: to check that your Pro license key is valid and active. Only the license key is sent.

What jabaly does not do

• It has no servers of its own and no user accounts.
• It has no analytics, advertising or tracking.
• It does not sell, share or transfer your data.
• It does not collect your YouTube password, your viewing history or your personal information.

Payments and licenses

Pro is a paid subscription. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider that acts as the seller of record. jabaly never sees or stores your card or bank details. To send you your license key we receive your email address from the payment provider and use it only to deliver and support your license. The payment provider's own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.

When you activate Pro, and again every few days, the extension sends your license key to the payment provider (Polar) to check that your subscription is active. Nothing else is sent: no browsing data, no categories, no YouTube information. If you cancel, the key stops working. If you are offline, Pro keeps working for up to 21 days until the next check.

This website

This website is a static page. It does not use cookies or analytics. Its text is shown with fonts loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers.
